A couple of weeks ago I hooked up with musician/ song writer Lerix to film a short Q&A video. Everything went amazingly well that day. It’s always a pleasure to work with him. Anyway check it out and enjoy the video.

I Love Designing!!!!!
I really love designing no matter what the project. I put my heart, soul, and the kitchen sink into it. I notice that when designing it’s very important to refer to the past. No matter what you’re doing, whether it be an identity, website, photo shoot for a major product company, etc. Always always look back. It totally helps your design process big time!
When I’m doing an identity for a small company (which is just a quarter of the projects I get), I always refer to my design, books, magazines, catalogs, and the internet. This includes architecture, Ikea, photography, old work I’ve done or sometimes the work of friends, and Paul Rand. That’s right Paul Rand, one of the most inspiring Graphic Designers known. Rand is a giant among designers and is one of the key reasons that graphic design exists as a profession in this country. So, I was surfing the inner space and came across this cool Paul Rand video on YouTube, check it out…
Recent Shoot
It’s always a pleasure hooking up with musician Lerix. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to shoot photos and film with him to help promote his new work. This is the nuts and bolts of a typical shoot with Lerix and I…

One of the most important things we do is communicate with each other to come up with a creative concept. This is extremely important, and usually involves Lerix, his manager H.Dinero, and I.
During our lunch break I snuck a few shots of Manager H.Dinero, which is usually very rare. H, is a great guy and just fun to be around. Not only is he manager of musicians Lerix and Thirsty McGurk, he is a tastemaker and, purveyor of street culture.

Brooklyn Banks Closed
One of the best spots in New York City, the Brooklyn Banks has been shut down. I was just over there a couple of weeks ago doing some filming. I had many good times at the banks, and met lots of cool people. It was one of the most infamous spots for meeting up with people whether you’re riding or skating, it will be missed. I would like to hear some comments from people who walked through, ridden, or skated the banks.
Acapella with Lerix
I’ve been working closely with Lerix who is one of the most charismatic, and talented emerging artist/song writers I have met. His passion and energy for music drives people to keep moving forward. Lerix was born with the mic and it shows in his music. I proposed the idea to showcase raw previews of him for people to connect with the artist from a different perspective. This is the first video with more on the way, enjoy!
My Favorite Shoe
I’ve been riding and skating in many different pairs of shoes from Etnies, Osirus, Emerica the list goes on. I have to say Converse Gates have got to be one of the most comfortable and coolest pair of shoes I’ve ever worn. I try to wear them every chance I get even if it doesn’t look right with what I’m wearing (dress pants). What makes them even cooler is that I only paid $30.00 bucks for them. If you skate or ride definitely look into getting these shoes. They’re dope so dope it’s a love affair.
